Boxing is becoming one of the most popular fitness regimes. If you are looking to lose weight through cardiovascular workout and become strong, lean and toned then boxing is definitely for you – and it’s great fun!
Our fully equipped boxing gym is open to all members of the community, whether you are interested in competing or just for fitness. No matter what your age, gender or ability, at Gosport Amateur Boxing Club we will have a class suitable for you.
We are a non-profit making organization and to keep the events such as our boxing shows successful, we rely on fund raising and local business sponsors. All of our coaches are volunteers; they are CRB checked and are qualified through the Amateur Boxing Association of England.
We have recently moved to our new gym in Cranbourne Road, near Asda. A lot more spacious than our previous gym, there is lots of room to train, and two rings for sparring, as well as male and female changing facilities.
Darren and Amanda are now coaches for the Hampshire and I.O.W boxing team, traning sessions for the Hants squad are held regularly and are by invitation only… ONLY THOSE THAT ATTEND SQUAD TRAINING SESSIONS WILL BE SELECTED!

Can I ask if you do taster sessions for youngsters?
My son is interested and wondered if we could pop alog on Saturday morning to have alook around?
How much does membership and sessions cost?
Hi, if he is aged 5-9 then bring him to mini boxers on Tuesday 5-5:45pm, or if he is 9 or over try one of our Junior sessions Tuesday and Thursday 6-7pm, also Sunday morning 10-11am is for adults and juniors. You can pop down to have a look anytime when our junior sessions are on, but we dont open on saturdays at the moment sorry. Cost is £3 for kids, you just pay as you train, so there are no fees upfront.
